My chosen route (both up and down) for the day
I was looking for a nicely mowed grassy slope to avoid underlying obstacles.
My first turns of the year on Sunrise at Stowe.
The snow depth was about 8 inches, and the water content of the snow was ~11-12 %
Smuggler's Notch as seen from the bottom of my run.
Many leaf-peepers were out enjoying the beautiful combination of foliage and snow-covered mountains.
The two inches of snow that had been at the base when I started my hike had all but disappeared.
