Yeah, we're at 66% of average snowfall here at the house based on my data, and winter '11-'12 actually falls outside the +/- 1 S.D. range now, at -1.077 S.D., putting things in the bottom 14.1% of seasons. I made a post on this year's snowfall back on the 15th at American Weather, so you can see the numbers there. Fortunately, even a season as low as this one means that base depths are OK and we're still getting to ski a lot of powder. Glad you guys are having such a great season though, make sure to get at lots of that Mediterranean powder!

Hey! I am checking daily the NWS BTV station, this must be one of the worse seasons for snow in the area... Hope you guys have a better season next year. As I told you on fb, in contrast over here we have the best season since at least 2002 and possibly earlier, with more than 80 inches at the top.... If the roads open I'll be going tomorrow...

We were back out at the mountain on Saturday as well, and it was great to see all the kids out there in their classes. My friend’s son is in the Mountain Explorers program, and in talking to one of the coordinators, I guess it turns out that registration has been good, with waiting lists for some of the classes. Bolton got 5 inches from the first part of the current storm – we headed up for a few turns last night and it was really nice. They’ve been gradually opening more trails, but this storm will really help speed that up. I’m excited to see what the back side of the system brings; it’s snowing right now here in Burlington, so that means the cold air must be working its way into the area!

Thanks J.Spin!
I have to give kudo's to the mini-runners instructors on Saturday! They made organization out of what looked like chaos! My son is in the class and it was enteretaining to watch "the little penguins" learning to stand and move on their ski's. He had a blast, and he can't wait until he gets back on the Mtn!
Here's to the NEaster heading our way, just need the cold temps to stay with us.
Have a great week all!

Thanks for stopping in Harry, we're glad you found our site. We're at Bolton most weekends, especially when the snow is good. Many folks spot us because they recognize us from our pictures, so hopefully we'll get a chance to meet up. Terrain options have slowly been increasing at the mountain, which is nice - it sounds like there will be even more options coming this weekend. Think snow!

Hi Harv, that was a fun storm, which put some nice snow down for the Thanksgiving Holiday - certainly enough for some decent turns. There's not too much to report since that event; we've had three storms in the meantime, a small one on December 2nd, a small to moderate one on December 7th & 8th, and then another small one that just finished up yesterday on the 10th. The snowfall is coming rather slowly, but at least it feels like winter out there and I got to head up to Bolton for a few turns yesterday.
