  1. Jay, I love your site. I am an attorney who missed his calling of being a Climatologist, and, more importantly, is obsessed with accuracy in snowfall measurements. I grew up in Michigan, near Detroit, and was a COOP observer. Now, am working on a detailed estimate of average snowfall for Southeast Lower Michigan stations. Problem is, so much data is missing and so much data is apples and oranges, due to different observation intervals and quality of the observations. I like your snow measurement approach and would like to talk with you sometime about it.
